This open source project is a collaboration between the community and several primary contributors listed below. We thank the many students and volunteers who have contributed to this library, though they are not listed below.

Austin Hoag

Austin Hoag

Machine Learning Engineer, Berkeley Existential Risk Initiative (BERI)

Dr. Hoag is the primary software engineer behind this library. Before working for BERI, he worked as a software developer at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute at Princeton University, where he developed tools for brain-wide visualization and analysis. He received his PhD in Physics from UC Davis in 2018 and conducted postdoctoral research in astrophysics at UCLA.

Philip S. Thomas

Philip S. Thomas

Assistant Professor, Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences, University of Massachusetts
pthomas@cs.umass.edu
Prof. Thomas initiated the creation of this library, and continues to supervise and contribute to its development. His research focuses on ensuring the safety of artificial intelligence systems, with emphases on ensuring the safety and fairness of machine learning algorithms and on creating safe and practical reinforcement learning algorithms. He is the co-director of the Autonomous Learning Lab (ALL) at the University of Massachusetts.

James Kostas

James Kostas

PhD Candidate, Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences, University of Massachusetts
jekostas@cs.umass.edu
James helped build the reinforcement learning (RL) components of this library. His research focuses on different types of neural networks for RL. James is a member of the Autonomous Learning Laboratory (ALL) at the University of Massachusetts, where he is advised by Prof. Thomas.
